CBHA Trimmers - List
To find a qualified CBHA trimmer in your area click on the drop down menu below.
All Professional trimmers listed will have their designations (CP - Certified Practitioner), (PT, Practitioner in Training) listed beside their names.
* Please note that while there may be many students of the CBHA trimming horses other than their own, they wil not be listed here until they have successfully attained the completion of the first 8 steps of the training program. This is to ensure that sufficient skills and knowledge are in place and the trimming work will be well executed.
Many of the Certified Practitioners also travel extensively to do informational clinics for groups as well as personal training for horseowners to maintain their own horses' hooves on a non-professional basis. These clinics are not part of the educational requirements of the CBHA certification program. For further information on these services they provide, please see their personal websites or go to our Clinics page for a list of travelling Clinicians.
About the CBHA
The Canadian Barefoot Horse Association was officially formed in 2009 to supply Canada with a solid training and certification program for upcoming natural hoof & horse care professionals. It was formed to provide the necessary skills to recognize and maintain healthy hooves and horses, as well as to rehabilitate unsound ones and to maximize the performance of competition horses in all disciplines. The CBHA is a nation-wide, non-profit organization which also educates the equine community on the benefits of natural hoof and horse care in order to equip owners with the knowledge to provide their horses with a heatlhier domestic lifestyle. For more information about the CBHA please see the About Us page.
