CBHA Certification Program Overview

Curriculum Enrolment

The CBHA Certification Program is a comprehensive curriculum which is divided into 11 Steps which need to be fully completed prior to the student being granted full certification status. Each step can be registered for and completed individually in chronological order on the student's own timeline.

Each required Step in the program can be completed in any available location the student chooses. However there is a maximum timeframe of 2 years allowed for completion of the entire program to ensure that students have attained the most recent education required for certification.

Once the student is enrolled in the program, NO changes will be made to the curriculum that will require the student to fulfill prior to certification. Once certified the practitioner will be required on an annual basis to take additional clinics or workshops necessary to maintain their certified status.

Curriculum Outline

The 11 Steps of the program are presented in a number of formats including a series of group clinics, lectures and workshops (both theoretical and hands on) as well as individual one-on-one mentorship training, independent study and a final exam. Each step must be completed in full and the work reviewed by the Instructor and the Advisory Panel prior to the student moving on to the next step.

Certification Requirements and Status

Once the eleven compulsory training steps have been successfully completed the student will be granted full certification status. As a Certified Practitioner (CP), there will be further requirements on an annual basis needed to retain the certification status. Those requirements would consist of the annual membership dues, and any workshops, clinics, or seminars or other training events deemed as a requirement for that year.
